Dear All,
I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July!!!!! It's been busy and wonderful in the capital :)--both at the Visitors' Center and in our area. We had a couple miracle finding experiences that I would love to share with you all.
On our way to go find someone we met a few days back, we talked with a man who was so sincere and interested in learning more about the restored gospel! When we asked for his information to stay in contact he said he didn't remember where he lived. My first thought was, "Well. He's not actually interested...." because that's what everyone says. Haha. But shame. on. ME, because near the end of the conversation he said, "Wait! I actually don't live far from here. Let me see what my address is." We were just SHOCKED and said of course!
His front door was open; he pointed inside and said, "This is my apartment, and that's my wife!" Sister Quintrequeo looked at her and said, "Marta?!"
Apparently, Marta was someone Hermana Quintrequeo had taught two transfers earlier but hadn't been able to get in contact with because she took her number down wrong and her apartment building was always locked! We were able to teach them both right then and there and get Marta's correct phone number. Talk about tender mercies.
As far as the Visitors' Center goes, miracles have just been FLYING out of nowhere. Hahaha! Out of the 30-50 people we contact each day online, about 2 agree to meet with local missionaries. In one week, each companionship normally sends around 8-10 referrals. This week we sent 19 REFERRALS and 2 are scheduled to be baptized in the coming month!
I was SO HAPPY and couldn't stop smiling the entire day. I just couldn't believe it! I began to ask myself, "What made the difference? What made us so much more effective this week than in weeks past?" I realized that all it took was a little extra faith. A little extra faith and SINCERE prayer made a GREAT difference in the trust God had in us!
At the beginning of my mission, I stressed myself out with so many goals and high expectations. I wanted to be the perfect missionary. When I didn't reach a goal or fell short I was just so sad.
I am finally starting to realize that repentance isn't being perfect all at once...it takes a lifetime and more.
As I have tried to just be a LITTLE better at everything I do, I am less stressed, more focused, and I can feel the Spirit so much more!
"6 Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise. 7 And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes, and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls."
I know that as we set reachable goals and strive every day to be just to be a little better, we will feel successful and HAPPY! We will see miracles and God will give us missionary opportunities if we are prepared to receive them.
I LOVE you all!

3. Hermana Quintrequeo and I :) We wanted to match the Temple Square sisters and made little American flags to put on our name tags!
